ABOUT ME

Ziv Bren, MD is a pediatrician with specialized training in adolescent medicine and a strong interest in clinically grounded research. He earned his medical degree from the Technion Faculty of Medicine, where he completed a research thesis examining risk behaviors and HIV transmission in special populations and participated in a clinical exchange at Motol University Hospital in Prague. He went on to complete his internship with excellence at Ziv Medical Center, followed by a pediatric residency at Schneider Children’s Medical Center, where he also tutored medical students from Tel Aviv University.
During his training, Dr. Bren developed a parallel research track, serving as a postdoctoral researcher at Schneider Children’s Medical Center and leading a retrospective clinical study on treatment outcomes for pediatric anorexia nervosa. He later completed formal certification in Adolescent Medicine at Tel Aviv University and currently practices as both a pediatrician and adolescent medicine physician at Clalit Health Services and Dana Children’s Hospital in Tel Aviv.
In the Barzi Lab, Dr. Bren is involved in research at the intersection of pediatric mental health and clinical outcomes, with a focus on translating real-world clinical data into evidence-based insights. His future interests include advancing research in child and adolescent psychiatry and integrating clinical care with data-driven approaches.
