DALLAS RYAN

Originally from West Philadelphia, Dallas has stayed local to pursue a degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Dallas is currently a third-year student and QuestBridge Scholar, and is on track to graduate with a BA in sociology with a minor in chemistry in 2022. At Penn, Dallas is a member of the Phi Delta Epsilon pre-medical fraternity, as well as the Education Committee chair for the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project. Dallas’s interests in social justice and health disparities led her to BarziLab in October of 2020, where she has been involved with a project examining the association between racial discrimination and suicidality in preadolescent children. In the future, she plans to pursue a medical degree focusing on social determinants of health, as well as to one day open her own coffee shop. In her free time, Dallas enjoys being a member of the Penn Dance Company.
